Aspin Abacus offers six structured programmes for children aged 4–16 — each with its own level-based path, built around your child’s pace.
The Abacus is one of the oldest calculating tools in the world — a wooden frame with rods and beads, where each bead’s position represents a number. By moving beads to add and subtract, children learn to calculate quickly and accurately, while training focus, memory, and whole-brain development along the way.
At Aspin Abacus, your child starts with a simple assessment, then moves through a clear, 10-level path — building calculation speed first with the physical tool, then gradually shifting to mental visualisation, so they can eventually calculate confidently without it.
Abacus works best with structure and consistency, not one-off activity sessions. Every level at Aspin Abacus is taught by a trainer specialised in Abacus instruction, assessed before your child moves on, and reinforced with short, manageable practice at home — so progress is steady and visible, not left to chance.
Most children complete a level in around 2–3 months, with about 15–20 minutes of daily practice at home to reinforce what they’ve learned in class. Progress is tracked level by level, with regular updates so you always know where your child stands.
Most children begin around age 5, though our program welcomes beginners up to age 14. Younger children (4–5) can join if they're already comfortable with basic counting.
The program is structured across 10 levels, typically completed in around 30 months, with each level taking roughly 2–3 months depending on the child's pace.
